The food and farm security candidate guide to the Vermont primaries is live

We’re just two weeks out from Vermont’s primary election. That’s why we, along with Vermont Foodbank, and the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont reached out to all legislative and statewide candidates running for office this year.

We asked them questions about food and farm security, the root causes of hunger, and the role of state government in addressing these issues. More than 65 candidates (Republican, Progressive, and Democratic alike) participated to share their thoughts on the topics of food and farm security. We’ve organized their answers into individual candidate profiles in our first-ever candidate guide. 

We hope this brand-new guide will help you learn more about the candidates in your districts. We’ll be updating it on a rolling basis if more candidates want to participate ahead of the Aug. 11 primary.
