Mariana Lamaison Sears

As the Community Engagement and Outreach Lead, Mariana builds and maintains relationships with community partners to understand hunger within most impacted communities, co-create solutions and connect people to resources. She also leads Hunger Free Vermont’s Language Access work. 

Mariana joined Hunger Free Vermont in 2022 and believes sustainable and local food systems can nourish people and grow thriving communities worldwide. Her previous experience includes grassroots projects on local food systems and Fair Trade advocacy and outreach — both in the United States and Argentina, her home country. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a degree in Tourism Guidance from the Universidad de Moron in Buenos Aires.
