Josie Leavitt

Josie comes to the Development Director position with more than 20 years of not-for-profit experience. Most recently Josie was the State Representative for the Grand Isle-Chittenden district. Josie can also be found performing stand up and storytelling throughout the state.

Her passion for ending hunger extends beyond her work at Hunger Free Vermont. She is a very active Board member of the Champlain Islands Food Shelf. Josie puts on her development hat on and has helped CIFS raise the revenue it needed for the last four years. 

Josie and her wife live in Grand Isle with their rescue dog, Allie.
