As the Meal Programs Specialist at Hunger Free Vermont, Erica supports schools, communities, and statewide groups in ending childhood hunger. Her work centers on providing individualized help to stakeholders navigating federal nutrition standards and making it easier and more possible for them to improve kids’ meal and snack programs.

Erica has been professionally involved in food systems capacity building with schools, nonprofits, government actors, and grassroots advocates for 20 years. She deeply believes in the power of uplifting the lived perspective of those she works with to transform systems and improve the lives of everyone.

Erica holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Sociology from the University of Michigan. A lifelong organizer, she is thrilled to be part of the motivated, compassionate, and dedicated team working to end the injustice of hunger at Hunger Free Vermont. Outside of this, she enjoys spending time with family, home improvement projects, cooking, yoga, and almost any outdoor activity.
