School Lunch



School lunches have to follow certain meal pattern requirements to receive federal reimbursement funds. That includes:

  • Minimum serving sizes for fruits and vegetables
  • A variety of "colors" of vegetables each week
  • Whole grain requirements
  • Lowfat and/or nonfat milk
  • Calorie, fat, and sodium restrictions
