Hunger Council OF the Lamoille Valley
In 2009, Northfield Savings Bank continued their funding for another three years to help Hunger Free Vermont expand the Hunger Council model to other areas of the state. With additional support from the Canaday Family Trust and Green Mountain fund, in 2010 the Hunger Council of the Lamoille Valley was launched—the first after the Chittenden and Washington pilot councils.
The Hunger Council is chaired by:

Susan Bartlett, former State Senator
Most Recent Hunger Council of the Lamoille Valley Meeting:
The Hunger Council last met on Thursday, February 7th, and focused on an overview of the benefits of universal school meal programs. The group heard from Anore Horton, Hunger Free Vermont’s Executive Director, as well as representatives from Hardwick Elementary School and Orleans Southwest Supervisory Union. upcoming Hunger Council meeting:
The Hunger Council meets next on May 2nd, and will be focusing primarily on supporting the healthcare system in its work to address food insecurity. More information and a draft agenda will be available closer to the meeting date.
