Hunger Council OF Lamoille Valley

In 2009, Northfield Savings Bank continued their funding for another three years to help Hunger Free Vermont expand the Hunger Council model to other areas of the state. With additional support from the Canaday Family Trust and Green Mountain fund, in 2010 the Hunger Council of the Lamoille Valley was launched—the first after the Chittenden and Washington pilot councils.

The Hunger Council is chaired by:

  • Scott Johnson, former Director of the Lamoille Family Center
  • Susan Bartlett, former State Senator 

Most Recent Hunger Council of the Lamoille Valley Meeting:

The Hunger Council last met on Thursday, May 3rd. The Council met with representatives of local medical providers, including Copley Hospital, Community Health Services of the Lamoille Valley, and the Vermont Department of Health, to discuss the Hunger Vital Signs and the connections between food security and health. The Hunger Council meets next on August 30th. After updates on projects and topics from the Council's previous meeting, the Hunger Council will have a strategic discussion on the coming year's topics and goals. The draft agenda is available HERE.

All meetings, unless otherwise noted, are held from 9:30 - 11:30 at the United Community Church of Morrisville, 85 Upper Main Street, Morrisville.
