Hunger Council OF Lamoille Valley

In 2009, Northfield Savings Bank continued their funding for another three years to help Hunger Free Vermont expand the Hunger Council model to other areas of the state. With additional support from the Canaday Family Trust and Green Mountain fund, in 2010 the Hunger Council of the Lamoille Valley was launched—the first after the Chittenden and Washington pilot councils.

The Hunger Council is chaired by:

  • Scott Johnson, Director of the Lamoille Family Center
  • Susan Bartlett, former State Senator and former Special Projects Coordinator for the Vermont Agency of Human Services Central Office

Most Recent Hunger Council of the Lamoille Valley Meeting:

The Hunger Council last met on September 7th, and continued its dual focus on universal nutrition programs for children and adapting to Act 148. The meeting agenda is available HERE and meeting minutes are available HERE.

upcoming Hunger Council meeting:

The Hunger Council meets next on Thursday, November 16th. The group will be exploring food shelf policies and impacts of Act 148 on local food shelves. The draft agenda is available HERE.

All meetings, unless otherwise noted, are held from 9:30 - 11:30 at the First Congregational Church UCC of Morrisville, 85 Upper Main Street, Morrisville.
