Hunger COuncil of the Upper Valley
With support from the Canaday Family Trust, we launched the first meeting of the Hunger Council of the Upper Valley on Monday, September 21st, 2015. This is the seventh Hunger Council, and Hunger Free Vermont's first Council to cross state lines into parts of New Hampshire.
The Co-Chairs for this Hunger Council are:

- Gabe Zoerheide, Executive Director of Willing Hands

The Hunger Council last met on March 13th at the Howe Library in Hanover, NH, to discuss ways of supporting food security through local planning.
Upcoming hunger council meetings:
The Hunger Council meets next on Monday, June 5th, at the Kilton Library in West Lebanon, NH. A draft agenda and more information will be available closer to the meeting date.

The Hunger Council of the Upper Valley sent an introductory letter to the NH State Legislators representing the Upper Valley region. This letter introduced legislators to the Hunger Council, and encouraged them to support federal nutrition programs like SNAP (the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program).
