Orientation Modules

Introduce program hosts and instructors to The Learning Kitchen with this presentation that explains the logistics of how to host a successful series by incorporating The Learning Kitchen into other local programs such as school meals, farm to school, health & wellness programs and more! Alternatively, share the orientation videos below with hosts and educators, if meeting in person is a barrier.

Watch this 7 minute video to understand how you can implement your TLK series in a manner that meets best practices for nutrition education. 

This 5 minute module describes requirements around program eligibility, participation, funding and allowable costs, and logistics. The TLK Host should pay special attention to this module and refer back to it as needed.

This 3 minute module focuses on what we need from our TLK partners to ensure program integrity so we can effectively evaluate and measure the efficacy of our nutrition education programming across the state.

This 6 minute module will walk you through all of the paperwork and evaluations needed for your series. Some paperwork must be submitted before the start of your series, some must be filled out and tracked during your series, and the rest is sent in at the end.
This 15 minute module walks you through how to navigate the Learning Kitchen curriculum, and includes a brief example of an activity about MyPlate. If you find you need more support in order to feel prepared to teach TLK, please contact Hunger Free Vermont.
